G W BUSH avoided vietnam war in 1968. Posted by: John at March 7, 2003 12:10 PMHehehe should I feel guilty on the inside because that is such an amusingly entertaining image? Nahh. By the way, I just stumbled onto this site through a link on the C.A.C.P. petition site.. And I have 2 things to say: 1) Bravo! 2) More! And be quicker about it! ;) ps is this french guy for real? "John" we are on your trail, using a fraudulent email address is a federal offense. We are pinging your IP address, you cannot escape. Turn yourself in, or we will be forced to come to your 4th grade class to apprehend you. Posted by: wallace at March 7, 2003 12:19 PMDear john how appropriate, probably received letters like that before. anyway, how does becoming a fighter pilot in the Air National Guard make you beleives he avoided the war. His unit may not have been sent, but does a junior officer have anything to do with those decisions- NO His joining the guard is a lot different than getting a draft deferral to join and then not joining and activiely protesting the war in a foreign country. And for all of you idiots who say G W Bush is stupid, let me see your degree from Yale and Harvard (AL Gore flunked out by the way) and let me see you successfully complete pilot training in the Air Force. My son, before he died unexpectedly on December 8, 2002 was an Air Force pilot, and beleive me, it is not something a moron or even a "very bright" person could complete. It takes alot, my son was a physics major, to understand all of the systems, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, etc which is required in addition to pulling on the throttle and flying. Dear John, you can send me your college transcripts showing you're advanced intellect or just post them. Posted by: Darth Chef at March 7, 2003 12:24 PMWow, that was quick. Great new mental image. They were quoted in Arabic saying "I hope that Lemon guy doesn't insult our intelligence by comparing us to Mike Kinsley". Posted by: Pooke at March 7, 2003 12:27 PMDarth Chef - My condolences to you and your family for your loss sir. My congratulations for your exposing yet another bald faced liberal lie. Do all liberals fancy themselves as Bill Clinton now, or what? I just can't shake the recurring mental image of bin laden's prodigy chewing their leg off to escape. That's some funny stuff Scott. Of course everyone knows that stink bait works best for catchin' catfish or vermin. But at least you can eat the catfish. The varmits aren't worth throwin' away. Posted by: Okie Dokie at March 7, 2003 12:49 PMHey Frenchie, If the story below is true, your pathetic little country will wither away to odiferous nothingness when determined Americans boycott your back-stabbing, hypocritical, war profiteering country. Iraq strengthens air force with French parts A French company has been selling spare parts to Iraq for its fighter jets and military helicopters during the past several months, according to U.S. intelligence officials. The unidentified company sold the parts to a trading company in the United Arab Emirates, which then shipped the parts through a third country into Iraq by truck. Thnak you Okie. its hard enough to lose a 24 year old child in top physical condition, but he served with pride and was ready to die on behalf of his country. He, unlike the protestors, actually believed that sacrifices must be made to protect our liberty. Just as our founding fathers did. Could you imagine where we's be today if the anti-war element ruled during our revolution, the civil war (the war of northern agression), World Wars 1 and 2, Korean, etc? Cowards should shut their traps and climb into a hole. We don't want them and we don't need them. Support our military. Posted by: Darth Chef at March 7, 2003 01:02 PMJust try to imagine... What would the media be doing with a story like this (French company selling parts to the enemy etc) if it were anyone except the French? It is almost like we have all become so conditioned to their Benidict Arnold mentality that it isn't even news worthy anymore. Posted by: Phrog Poet at March 7, 2003 01:45 PMActually, Al Gore didn't flunk out of Harvard, though he came close during his sophomore year. (I think he got a D in the only science class he took.) Gore flunked out -- or dropped out -- of law school and divinity school. He wasn't too stupid to pass, I suspect. He was unmotivated. Posted by: Joanne Jacobs at March 7, 2003 01:52 PMHe failed out of law school. Yale. And Yale first year is pass/fail. I myself graduated from Georgetown Law. He was too stupid to pass. Posted by: Darth Chef at March 7, 2003 02:32 PM"A French company has been selling spare parts to Iraq for its fighter jets and military helicopters during the past several months . . ." Perhaps Hans Blix has been looking in the wrong country! Iraq may be hiding everything in France! 14 to 23 kids? It's so hard to keep track of those little terrors. Mmmmmmmm, whiskey and bacon. Grrggllgrrlglgl. Posted by: Ryan Rhodes at March 7, 2003 03:13 PMNote the GWBush graduated from Harvard with an MBA. What do they teach (superbly) at Harvard Business School? How to organize and delegate. Just what you need to run a war. How about THAT, Frenchie!! Posted by: Charles at March 7, 2003 05:09 PMJ. Jacobs, The thought of those little S#%^s stuck in those animal traps makes me laugh, good one Scott. I think we should take on Iraq, then Iran and then move onto France. All we have to do is send 1 soldier to France, pull out a gun and those white flags will pop out so fast! Posted by: Justin at March 7, 2003 06:18 PMThe rest of the world is finding out what the democrats learned during the last election: George W. Bush is not a very eloquent person, but the minute you think he isn't very smart he's got ya! The guy is a hell of a lot smarter than they give hime credit for. I do call on Bush and his administration to start chastizing (or was it castrating...? Hmmmmm) the French for their illegal Iraqi arms sales. The need to be shown as the economical prostitutes that they are! Posted by: Justin at March 7, 2003 06:23 PMPlease don't be toooo hard on John@aol.com. He just broke up with his girlfriend, Prostitute@aol.com, and is trying to get his life together again with a new girl, HelenThomas@aol.com! Posted by: Susan Serin-Done at March 7, 2003 06:58 PMJustin: As a fellow science major I have to agree. For a client I had to make a trip to the mother house (EPA) to try to understand a judgement and a regulation. I had to deal with a 'civil' servant with an associate's diploma in 'environmental science'. Wouldja believe he had NO physical science courses in school? Un-huh. And he was a self proclaimed science genius who still used the G. N. Lewis concepts of valence. Cut me a break: not even high school science is stuck in this mudpuddle. The interview had me saying "Why me, O Lord?" You can guess at the result. We had to litigate for two years to get beyond his junk science. The environments really in safe hands, folks. Fortunately not the EPA's.... "G W BUSH avoided vietnam war in 1968." If Barry Goldwater had been elected, every American could have avoided it. Bing, bang boom. End of war. Lyndon Johnson elected...10 years of war and we lose. Posted by: Opeth at March 7, 2003 10:14 PMYeah Charles... I agree. It really should be a pre-requisite for any Government Employment... that the applicant should have the business equivilent of owning and operating at least one Gum Ball mechine. Posted by: Phrog Poet at March 7, 2003 10:25 PMDon't be so hard on Algore's education. After all, he took the initiative to create the internet. If it weren't for Spotted Owl, we would not have this wonderful forum. Posted by: onceamarine at March 7, 2003 11:12 PMSorry... John, Did you win a hacky-sack contest at college while your professers taught you how to undermine the government? Or maybe a bongo drum competition while you sponged off your "friends". Did you know that Saddam has committed genocide just like Adolf Hitler? Did you like Hitler? How much combat action do you think F.D.R., who was our President during WW2, saw on his wheelechair? The point here is that we are in a serious situation and the conversation is that the ungratefull French for whom we gave hundreds of thousands of lives in their defense and give them billions of dollars of our hard earned money that the government takes from us in taxes and gives to the French in aid, and the French stick their pompus noses up at us and spit in our faces. What the hell did you do for this country? When I was a young Marine on the USS Guam in Desert Shield/Storm, our sister ship was the USS Iwo Jima. The Iwo had some boiler problems and stopped in a Baharain shipyard for repair. The ragheads put the wrong type of fasteners on the boilers, brass instead of stainless or something. Did they do it on purpose? Who knows but 11 Navy boiler techs were in the boiler room when the boiler exploded with hot steam and cooked them like a potroast. Some of my good friends were in there and some helped clean up the piles of human flesh. What the hell did you do for this country? Posted by: onceamarine at March 7, 2003 11:42 PM"that the applicant should have the business equivilent of owning and operating at least one Gum Ball mechine." Don't you know that being a business owner unfairly slants you towards pro-(big)business? Only those who are separated from the business world (ie. unemployed) can make fair economic policy. /sarcasm Posted by: M. Upton at March 7, 2003 11:43 PMDarth - Forget about Hollywood types and all the rest of them. Your son was one of the finest humans this country has, and the rest of us appreciate that greatly, we really do. You don't hear it enough because regular Joes like myself don't have a TV show and a microphone in their face everywhere we go. My deepest sympathies for your loss - we wouldn't be the great country that we are without fine people like your son. JOHN, >>Only those who are separated from the business world (ie. unemployed) can make fair economic policy. Oh good point..*light bulb* .. *smacks forehead* .. Thanks ! And now I suddenly understand why being out of money qualifies me for welfare. Where does the line strart? ..and why living in Hollywood, or France, or going to Berkley makes one an expert on foreign policy. We have to be "detached" in order to be objective. Insanity can't be understood from within it. Wow ! The best argument I've heard yet.. for letting the UN dictate our military policy. Who better than Saddam and Osama, to tell us what is wrong with America? Posted by: Phrog Poet at March 8, 2003 02:00 PMI love these satirical articles, they're awesome! But I don't know if they're pro war or anti-war or what? Maybe it doesn't even matter. But to the whole thing about you who have lost your children in the military. I am so sorry for your loss, truly, but that loss is why people like me are against the war. I don't want to see anymore people dying in a war that just doesn't seem totally necessary. If they were defending our country from a direct attack, then I would say more power to them. But being that we are the instigators of any military action right now, I feel we're needlessly sending our troops out of the country, possibly to die. That's just my take on this situation though. Posted by: Angie at March 8, 2003 09:32 PMJohn: Angie, Angie, Angie. Do you support Saddam's murdering of 1.5 million people??? That number is still rising. How do you stop Saddam then? You don't? And let him murder more and more innocent Iraqi's??? This is an all-out war on terrorism. Terrorism is what we're trying to stop. Funny, do you agree with the people out in California who want to disrupt the American way of life if one shot is fired?? I consider that domestic terrorism, but people like you prevent the patriotic Americans from stopping this terrorism. Open your eyes people, this war is absolutely necessary to rid this world of evil, terrorism, and dictator's like Saddam. Dusty. Posted by: Dusty at March 10, 2003 09:56 AMThanks Ameri_can. My son was a good boy and better man. Over 300 people came to his burial at Arlington National Cemetery. We knew he was special but not until so many told us how he touched them and changed their lives. He had a can-do attitude and was always smiling. he never let life get him down and never said a bad thing about anyone. According to one mom of a classmate of his from the Citadel, her son almost killed himself in his senior year but Christopher saw the kid was stressed and talked to him. the kid is finishing school this year. Christopher was credited by the mom of saving her son's life. He was a patriot and told us and his freinds that he was ready to give his life for his country. The hollywood pukes and the french and germans wouldn't give up dinner for their countries. France would be a great place if there weren't so many french there.
