Obama administration pay czar Kenneth R. Feinberg announced today that, in addition to severely slashing paychecks of top executives at firms which the federal government bailed out, he would also limit them to a single daily trip to the “all you can eat” buffet in the company cafeteria.

If Obama signs a treaty, any treaty, that turns out to be not in our best interest. What recourse is there for us? Some of us are skeptical that he is even holding the office legally, but unless there is a national will to pursue that matter we are stuck with it. I don't think the will would be there to request he certify his legal right to hold the office of POTUS, but if there was, and if he cannot provide proof of eligibility, then the treaty would not be binding….but that is such a long shot.
To me it would be surreal to find ourselves in a situation where Obama, illegitimately holding office, signs away our sovereignty. Seems absurd that it could happen and we not have any way to prevent it. This is why it was seemingly in Obama's best interest to prove himself. How far can he go before the people of this country get the courage to rise up and demand it? What would it take?

"Most states already require you to have insurance on your motor vehicles. "
Bit of a red hearing argument- there is no constitutional right to drive. You may choose not to, just as you can choose not to qualify for other licensed activities. I chose not to train as a physician, or to take the bar exam. Had I done so, I would have been required to take certain additional steps to protect the public.

The downright deceit and political game-playing re our Afghanistan policy by the ObaMao crew is appalling.

MKK,
One way to prevent it….
Vote him out.
I always give our elected reps a chance even if I didn't vote for them. Like Jimmah, Yomamba is showing his heart strings.
Vote him out. and his filthy ilk.

Off topic weekend humor:
If you have not seen this, (or even if you have), it is worth a chuckle! Kind of reminds me of the Barbara "Call me Senator" Boxer incident, only this one is funnier because if the MSNBC host had been a Conservative host on Fox News, she/he would have been called a "racist" and wouldn't have gotten off as easy!

I gave him a History book.

The Heritage Foundation sends free pocket-sized copies of The Constitution to anyone who orders them. They have been distributed at local gatherings by Tea Party participants. (They make a better statement about what it is to be an American patriot than do SEIU purple shirts infesting town halls and New Black Panther goons with billy clubs outside voting precincts.)
Our "vast Right Wing conspiracy" of radio and television hosts are opening people's eyes and ears to our Founding Fathers' wisdom.

boberin: Are you aware that the CDC has discontinued keeping track of actual Swine Flu statistics as distinguished from other types? Now health care folks are to note all types of flu or flu-like symptoms in a catch-all category in part because testing for H1Ni is costly and not finding as many cases as formerly thought.
Such peculiar reasoning raises questions about why the Friday night news dump has Obamao calling the situation "a national emergency." Did you also know that the Obamaos are not having their daughters immunized for H1N1?
The government already is woefully short the number of vaccines that were presumed for this "pandemic." Thus, the government is beginning to determine (via rationing) who will get the immunizations first. Obviously, some folks are more vulnerable, BUT some in the vulnerable category will get their vaccines AFTER those in the same category without private health insurance have their needs met.
22 onlineanalyst // Oct 26, 2009 at 9:14 pm
(cont'd) These vaccines are being produced by pharmaceutical companies outside our country because of a stunt Hillary Clinton pulled back in the '90's to demonize them.
To my mind, the federal government with its intrusiveness and inefficiency creates bigger and more costly "solutions" than does the private sector.
About a month ago, I had a regular flu shot, but I do not think that I will be messing with the one for H1N1, not for any paranoiac reason. While swine flu spreads more easily than other strains, it appears to have its more devastating effect on those with compromised immunity: the young who haven't developed a lot of antibodies and the sick or elderly. Already, studies are showing that the amount of time that a person is unwell with H1N1 is lessening.

Charles Krauthammer observes a point that enhances the one made by the WSJ article that I had linked. The Obamao efforts to end our economic slide into oblivion and continued devaluation of the dollar are looking bleaker by the day.
"On Christina Romer’s statement that the stimulus would have little effect in 2010:
"The administration was trying to explain away for months why it spends almost $1 trillion and there is no effect — [with] numbers showing increasing unemployment relentlessly.
"So the line was: Well, it's kicking in next year, it will all kick in next year.
"And now we get the chief economist at the White House telling us that it's already had its effect and next year it [the stimulus’ effect] will plateau and won't have any effect on unemployment.
"And you can only conclude that the stimulus is a bust. There's no other conclusion. If it didn't have its effect this year, and it's not going to have an effect next year, then it had no effect — and we wasted $1 trillion."
24 mindknumbedkid // Oct 27, 2009 at 12:21 am
The "stimulus" is not working in part due to the massive tax cuts that are occurring. Every time a working American becomes unemployed there is a tax cut, the money that was donated to Washington via payroll deductions ceases. Then that person files for unemployment benefits, maybe some food stamps too. The result is less income for Washington and more expense. And then there is the soak the rich philosophy which causes the "rich" to pinch their pennies, and also leaves them with less capital to create opportunities (tax increases for Washington).
They got it all bassackwards, simply because they do not understand tax cuts and tax increases in reality economics. What is so difficult to understand about it?
25 mindknumbedkid // Oct 27, 2009 at 12:39 am
It's not just that we wasted a trillion dollars, we never had a trillion to dump into it to begin with. We used Uncle Sam's Visa card to put a trillion $$ worth of gas into a car that has a pretty good engine, but no transmission so that the car might move. And what is worse is that the battery is shot, we can't turn the engine off and save the gas because it will never start again. I was told not to buy anything on credit that you will not still have when the bill comes due. Washington is behaving just like most kids who go off to college with dad's credit card in their pocket, it doesn't matter to them what they are spending the money on because there's more where it came from…until dad gets the bill.

I have no idea where my first post landed at but this is what I penned:
Folks, this is my first posting from my long awaited new HP computer. My poor Sony has been retired and I sure miss it. HP is nice but it is no Sony.
Worse yet is the new 64 bit system because many expensive programs like Photoshop will have to be replaced because it can not run on that system. Of course that means more cash outlay beyond the computer.
I'm hoping this monster will prove worthy of the long wait. Windows 7 takes a lot of getting used to, but I am finally getting the hang of it after 4 days.
Just letting those who helped by supporting the cause by going to e-bay and other sites like Shadows Of America, step two has been met. Two more steps to go and I will be a Cappy Hamper

I still have a few American History books from the 1800's. They are much better because the liberals had not taken over the publishing companies by then.

What's the big deal whether an individual chooses to get a shot, or declines it? What is weird about it? I have no plans to get any flu shot, it is just one of thousands of risks I accept everyday I'm alive and productive. My son caught what may have been the swine flu (local hospital was too short on test swabs to test anyone unless they were being admitted to the hospital) he was sick about 72 hours and then got over it. Doesn't seem weird to me, happens to people every year, even to a percentage who get a flu shot.

"The "stimulus" is not working in part due to the massive tax cuts that are occurring."
mkk: I don't think that you mean that a tax cut is occuring. I think that you mean that the government has a loss of revenue extorted from the once-productive producers.
32 mindknumbedkid // Oct 28, 2009 at 12:03 am
I'm defining decreased tax revenues due to less employment, and a slower economy, and if the libnuts get their way they will increase taxes and spending which will lead to further tax (revenues) cuts. The economy may not slowly grind to a stop, it may be a very abrupt stop.
