U.S. to pump in cash, if Fiat buys out IMF
By Scott Ott, Washington Examiner Columnist
A day after the heads of the 20 leading industrialized nations agreed to pump $1 trillion into the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to stimulate worldwide recovery, the White House revealed that President Barack Obama consented to the G-20 stimulus deal on the condition that the IMF be sold to Fiat, the Italian automaker, by the end of the month.

“Considering President Obama recently gave Prime Minister Gordon Brown a DVD set, and gave Queen Elizabeth II an iPod, it’s anyone’s guess which one he’ll fire first.
“Based on his generous gifts, one can see that the president has deep affection for both the Queen and the Prime Minister,” said Mr. Gibbs. “But President Obama has been elected to save the world, so Britons will just have to hope that God saves the Queen.”
[Cue the theme from "The Jeffersons."]

Fiat money is nothing new. And nothing good.

Btw, Scott…I doubt that Obama has ever heard of these “Britons” you refer to. In the world according to Barry, he only knows about “England,” not Great Britian.;-)

Sorry, kurtlee…I know how hard it is to get some songs out of one’s head.

da Bunny Re#1: “He’ll probably “fire” the Queen, first, since I’m sure he has his eye on that Crown and the Throne.”
Yeah, Michelle would like those.

gafisher, yes, Michelle is probably eyeing the Crown Jewels, too. Wonder if those two will visit the Palace at Versailles while in France? They could size that place up as a possible location for their “summer home,” once Barry becomes “King of the World.”

And, gafisher re: “fiat money.” I’ve got some of that in my wallet right now.

After he fires Her Majesty, he can then fire “Banking Queen” Barney Frank and replace him with a REAL Queen.

OLA, from the bottom of the last thread…I did not find the exact source I quoted this morning but here’s a substantially similar article…
In 2004, the ratio of average CEO pay to the average pay of a production (i.e., non-management) worker was 431-to-1, up from 301-to-1 in 2003, according to “Executive Excess,” an annual report released Tuesday by the liberal research groups United for a Fair Economy and the Institute for Policy Studies.
That’s not the highest ever. In 2001, the ratio of CEO-to-worker pay hit a peak of 525-to-1.
Still, it’s quite a leap year over year, and it ranks on the high end historically. In 1990, for instance, CEOs made about 107 times more than the average worker, while in 1982, the average CEO made only 42 times more.

Sorry for misplacing the original source

Mrs. Obama clearly made an impression with the 82-year-old monarch – so much that the smiling queen strayed slightly from protocol and briefly wrapped her arm around the first lady in a rare public show of affection.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman who asked not to be identified because of palace policy said that he could not remember the last time the queen had displayed such public affection with a first lady or dignitary.
“It was a mutual and spontaneous display of affection,” he said. “We don’t issue instructions on not touching the queen.”

I have not seen such an accurate representation of the average, liberal socialist since the caustic but infamous quote from then President Ronald Reagan who said:
“It isn’t that liberals are ignorant. It’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.”
This little story I just received does as good, if not better job of depicting just where socialists are located (at least mentally). They persist in pursuing an agenda that has a 100% failure record throughout all of recorded history (excepting short term at the point of a gun a/k/a “The Stalinist Years”). Instead of pursuing an agenda that has a 100% success record every time it has been implemented a/k/a “Reaganomics” or “Reagan conservatism”.
This girl hits the nail squarely on the head.
LITTLE GIRL ON A PLANE
A stranger was seated next to a little girl on the airplane when the stranger turned to her and said,
‘Let’s talk. I’ve heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.’
The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed
it slowly and said to the stranger, ‘What would you like to talk about?’
‘Oh, I don’t know,’ said the stranger. ‘How about nuclear power?’ and he smiles.
OK, ‘ she said. ‘That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff – grass – . Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried
grass. Why do you suppose that is?’
The stranger, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence, thinks about it and says, ‘Hmmm, I have
no idea.’
To which the little girl replies, ‘Do you really feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don’t know sh(poop)?’
The little girl was right on, of course since socialists may want to discuss the economy; all the while aware that they are unable to find their own behind in the dark with both hands and a flashlight.
Sort of like a blind person insisting on leading a person with 20/20 sight in both eyes, past the brink of an abyss or seemingly bottomless chasm.
Or in a deep hole they’ve dug themselves; trying to get out by continuing to dig deeper!
I, for one, do not want America to be re-named “North Cuba”. (a/k/a “mélange of misery”.)

With the guaranteed inflation coming with the fiat money coming hot off the presses, can I tear the bills in half in order to double my money?
