DNC: Racist GOP Elects Jindal Token Governor

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 49 Comments · · Print This Story Print This Story

(2007-10-21) — Rep. Bobby Jindal, R-LA, the 36 year-old son of Indian immigrants, won the gubernatorial election in Louisiana yesterday as “part of a Republican strategy to keep a few token non-whites in high-profile posts to deflect attention from the party’s inherent racism and anti-immigrant platform,” according to a news release from the Democrat National Committee (DNC).

Mr. Jindal’s election is also more evidence that voters hold the Bush administration responsible for the botched response to Hurricane Katrina, the DNC release said.

“Voter rage against Republicans over Katrina reached its zenith this week,” the DNC said, “as evidenced by the election of a brown-skinned Republican whose parents came from another country. It’s a slap in the face to the GOP, and to President Bush personally, because Bobby Jindal represents just the kind of person that the Republican party wants to keep out of this country, and to keep in their place once they’re here.”

The official DNC statement said Democrats who failed to vote for one of the three Democrat candidates for governor did so “in the spirit of affirmative action to lift up the downtrodden Mr. Jindal. Ultimately, his election is a victory for Democrats who have loved and cared for immigrants and racial minorities for decades, giving Jindal the breaks he needed to get a decent job at a livable wage.”

Hope Louisianans like a little curry with their chocolate!

  • 2 Darthmeister // Oct 21, 2007 at 8:58 am

Finally, after one hundred and forty years of Democrat domination in the state, Louisianians are being cured of their self-destructive insanity. I just hope the rest of the Democratic government there doesn’t try to undermine him at the expense of the people? Wouldn’t put it past them, though.

  • 3 Darthmeister // Oct 21, 2007 at 9:01 am

Beerme, there has to be a good joke in there about him giving the Slurpeeâ„¢ industry tax incentives in hopes of bringing prosperity back to a very economically depressed state – no thanks to the DimDonks who essentially ran it into the ground since Reconstruction.

Darthmeister, are you kidding? “Undermine” is the Democrats’ middle name.

  • 7 Darthmeister // Oct 21, 2007 at 9:08 am

    c.a.t,

I stand … er, sit corrected.

You know it’s not like the Democrats have been trying to undermine this country’s economic prosperity by talking down the economy (something they accused Republicans of trying to do under Bill Clinton) or trying to undermine President Bush’s war on jihadism. I always thought the Democrats put country and the American people before their politics of powergrab.

Sheesh (smacking forehead) how could I’ve been so naive all these years?

Beerme: Speaking of Curry, do you remember Betty Curry? Did you hear what happened to poor Socks the Cat? Do you remember cute, black and white Socks? There is probably weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth at PETA.

Darthmeister: Drudge had an article about a huge cache of explosives found in Bagdhad – some 19 tons I think – and how crippling the find is for the jihadists. Charlie Gibson, on Monday, in talking about Iraq said something to the effect, “Today’s headline news from Iraq is…….There is no news!” Well, that’s news, but not to the drive-by media. More people are viewing Iraq as progress and have a more optimistic outlook for the outcome and Louisianna votes in a Republican for the first time in forever. Not too shabby, huh? Perhaps the Democrats, though they scoff at tele-evangelists, are trying that Benny Hinn method of “Speaking it into being” and it ain’t workin’.

  • 10 onlineanalyst // Oct 21, 2007 at 9:24 am

So, the Dems decided that Jindal is clean and articulate enough for them to accept?

Actually, Jindal’s credentials as a conservative make his win (in spite of some mighty dirty smears) a terrific coup. Let’s hope that the entrenched Dem machine in Louisiana does not undermine his efforts at cleaning out the corruption and instilling some personal responsibility in the gub’mint and the citizens of the state. Indeed, it is time to drain the swamps.

I think the manager of the Kwikee-Mart would do a better job of running Louisiana than the past few Governors!

    Eleventeen?

  • 12 onlineanalyst // Oct 21, 2007 at 9:33 am

Nah, beerme, I captured the eleventeen honors this go-round.

Actually, Joe Biden (?) is claiming that the Republicans determined Bobby Jindal’s candidacy in a backroom in a 7-11, where all good Indians can be found.

I’m not really an Indian but I played one on the Simpsons

Speaking of such, I have no love for Boston but I think they will devour the Cleveland Indians tonight and spit there little weenie butts into the Cuyahoga River. Their strategy was to lose enough games as to bring the final defeat back home.

But who knows, I’m not even a good drug store philosopher when it comes to Baseball. If the Twins win, I’m happy, if they don’t, eh, who cares.

  • 16 Ms RightWing, Ink // Oct 21, 2007 at 11:44 am

That is my one eye prospective on today’s news. Not bad when I hit one out of five correct keys. Der’s a whole lot of editin’ goin on here.

  • 17 JamesonLewis3rd // Oct 21, 2007 at 12:03 pm

I believe I read somewhere that this is the first time in LA history where there has not been a runoff. If I’m correct, this fact alone speaks volumes; for example, voters had had the veil painfully removed from their eyes and weren’t taking any chances on recurrences–an example the entire voting public should heed in the coming presidential election.

There is only one way for us to go, as a country, and prosper–we have to at least strive to follow that path.

“Bobby Jindal represents just the kind of person that the Republican party wants to … keep in their place …”

Not just keep; the Republican Party has shown a real desire to put such people in their place — on the Supreme Court, in the Cabinet, at the top of the Diplomatic Corps, and perhaps someday in the White House. Oddly, it’s the Dems who have opposed the minorities who have achieved (or been excluded or forced out of) these positions.

#12 … buwahahahahaha! I hadn’t thought of that one yet. I do believe it was Biden and of course being a liberal Democrat he skates – aided and abetted by the fawning lamestream media. But let Rush Limbaugh or any other conservative come up with something like that …

Dittos on the “clean and articulate” line.

I’m just trying to enjoy the fact that Democratic policies quite literally destroyed their voter base. That rarely happens fast enough for us to watch it happen.

ola Re #13 – I read that “entrance exam” twice and don’t see the point. It’s the same one they gave me to complete when I applied for a job with them awhile back.

I couldn’t find the ‘Satire’ then nor now. btw – I didn’t get the job – they told me it had something to do with my addendum “Neither Ronald Reagan, Rush Limbaugh nor Ann Coulter qualify as the height of perfection but they are in a threeway tie for 2nd place, until Jesus returns.”

    From Michael Ledeen:

Almost exactly 13 months ago, the top Marine intelligence officer in Iraq wrote that the grim situation in Anbar province would continue to deteriorate unless an additional division was sent in, along with substantial economic aid. Today, Marine leaders are musing openly about clearing out of Anbar, not because it is a lost cause, but because we have defeated al Qaeda there.

In Fallujah, enlisted marines have complained to an officer of my acquaintance: “There’s nobody to shoot here, sir. If it’s just going to be building schools and hospitals, that’s what the Army is for, isn’t it?”

Throughout the area, Sunni sheikhs have joined the Marines to drive out al Qaeda, and this template has spread to Diyala Province, and even to many neighborhoods in Baghdad itself…

    I told ya so.

  • 37 Darthmeister // Oct 22, 2007 at 8:21 am

It will become clear in the coming years that Jindal is but a brainwashed sockpuppet who will allow secret government agencies access to the levies around New Orleans in order to wire them for demolition and blow them up during the next hurricane just like what happened during Hurricane Katrina. Just like the RethugliKKKans to turn yet another minority member into a racist.

    IS THERE NO JUSTICE?

    Hawkeye & others

Thanks for your prayers and support. Day three, the eye is opening a little more. It is still swollen and bloodshot and looks terrible.

I got kind of sick last night because I took advantage of global warm.., er, Indian Summer and went scooting about the area in my power chair trying to shoot fall colors, though we are still waiting for some, with my Nikon using the left eye.

Nope, bad idea. I came home and got nauseated and had to repack the swollen eye with ice. Actually bags of frozen veggies works the best.

Today, my legs are weak. Whenever the body goes through trauma, no matter how small, it soon or later gets to bugging your MS. Now that I can see a little more it is time for paper work. sigh, I got a chapter 2/3 completed and I am itching (and so are the stitches) to get it finished
