Hezbollah Spins Off Political Unit to Focus on Terror

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 63 Comments · · Print This Story Print This Story

(2006-10-28) — Under pressure from the U.S. to disarm in the wake of this summer’s war with Israel, Hezbollah announced today that it would spin off its political and social service units to focus on its core business — the development and distribution of terror.

In a corporate news release, CEO Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah said, “Over the years, our success has lead us into several brand extensions — like politics, health care and education. But I’m afraid these have become distractions, and we’ve allowed other terror groups to steal market share while we fiddled around with negotiations and public relations. We need to get back to our core beliefs and focus on becoming world class in our niche.”

The announcement comes as U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice again called on Hezbollah to fulfill the terms of the U.N.-brokered cease fire with Israel by laying down weapons and becoming a legitimate part of the political process in Lebanon.

However, Mr. Nasrallah rejected the idea, saying “it’s ridiculous to think we should change our tactics after all these years. Our enemies are so primitive that they still settle their differences with discussions and documents. They’re diplomatic fanatics. You can’t negotiate with animals like that.”

The Political Unit (Sunni Fein?) still has the ear of the world press. Looks like Israel may have hit a Hizbollah dirty-bomb cache in the recent conflict, but the typical lib Hizzie-fit response is that Israel nuked the poor innocent terroris, er, Freedom Fighters.

  • 6 JamesonLewis3rd // Oct 28, 2006 at 9:31 am

I think Scott has illuminated an interesting nuance in the mindset of people like Nasrallah–that they want to feel they are morally, intellectually and physically superior (macho) both to those who they consider “diplomatic fanatics” (wimpy).

They really don’t see the advantage of negotiation or compromise. They see only one way to deal with those with whom they disagree–slaughter them. They have so deluded themselves that they don’t see that they are, in reality, out-of-control, gutless cowards and that those who would rather negotiate (live in peace) have a mighty strength.

It’s an insane anger issue with them; brought on by an immense lack of self esteem. In their heart of hearts they wish they were us but, in that same heart, they know they are mere barbarians and it embarrasses them–and enrages them. They project their hatred of themselves onto us. It’s really kind of sad.

I have a hard time compressing my thoughts into a few short sentences. I hope I make sense–at least, sometimes.

I guess Hezbollah is falling back on that old maxim: find out what you like to do and do it to the best of your ability. Isn’t there some old saying about the danger of combining nutjobs and high explosives?

If only they could find a way to just blow themselves up.
Shucks, even a conservative whackjob like me would be in favor of that.

    SPECIAL APPEAL

This is from a very new member of my church to the Pastor & me requesting prayer He reads my ScrappleFace but doesn’t post. Strong conservtive Christian.

Dave D’Arcy has MS which “comes and goes” with its debilitating symptoms. Please pray for him. – Waxless Fred

    Hi Guys;

Please pray for me. I’m going to the emergency room now. My MS Neurologist says that it is unusual to have this many symptoms associated with MS. Since I’m having problems with other areas in my body, he thought I should go to the emergency room and since he spoke to Linda and not me, I am going! I won’t be able to come to the couple’s meeting tonight (unless I feel better). These symptoms came on me Thursday night and I slept until 4:30 pm Friday. I was incoherent mixing up words and even tried to answer the TV Remote three times, and didn’t realize it was the remote until I tried to put it in the cordless phone jack three times (which is when I realized after the 3rd try that it was the TV remote!). Like my headache in September, I don’t think Mr. MS dislikes infection. MS is not noted for these symptoms but any kind of infection or illness would rev up MS. My doctor thinks I might have a urinary infection, but I’m not in any pain, but I’m a little dizzy and I’m still very sleepy, as opposed to just tired.

    Thank you,

    Your brother in Christ,

    Dave

Hezbollah Spins Off Political Unit to Focus on Terror

Huh?! Why would they have to “spin off” their primary focus?

  • 26 R.A.M. // Oct 28, 2006 at 3:30 pm

I posted a comment two threads ago and it disappeared! I think it was best comment yet! I can say that because it is no longer there!

I learned that from “Bubba” Clinton!

Speaking of Clinton, I’m sure you heard that they found a “white powdery substance” in his office in Harlem. What they didn’t tell you was, that it was brought in by Al and Jesse, and some of it was found in a rolled up $100 bill!

Bubba and the substance were the ONLY white things that were found though.

    RE:21

Welcome to the land of MS. You never know what you may wake up to. I lost my sight a few days ago and I’m slowly getting it back. Confusion–well that is part of a progressive symptom. I will pray for your friend, but I really hope he is tuned into a support group of other MS’ers who can help him understand the agony of the disease.

My Neurologist is out of town until Tuesday, so until then they tell me bed rest. Ha! Me bed rest, now that is a joke.

    da Bunny,

… and the dimwits of Massachusetts just keep voting this guy in. Obviously they know no shame. He’s a drunk, a murderer, a liar and now we know him to be a fifth column traitor colluding with the enemy of this country back in the 1980s. Only a Democrat could get away with that.

    egospeak,

    That’s a good start. Here’s more:

Blow your one chance in life, be a suicide bomber!

The few, the proud, we kill innocent civilians.

Global jihad: You only go around once in life.

Hezbollah: We don’t need no steeenkin’ license to kill.

The lives of dozens, hundreds, thousands, tens of thousand, hundreds of thousands or millions of innocent people (or even one person) are way more important than the alleged “dignity” of a devoted, professional mass murdering sociopathic worm.
