(2002-10-12) — California’s Republican Gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon exploded during a campaign appearance today. Numerous Republican candidates for other offices were hurt in the blast.
DNC, a radical left-wing group, took responsibility for the political suicide bombing, and for Simon’s entire candidacy.
The GOP candidate’s self-destruction comes shortly after he made false charges about Democrat incumbent Gray Davis in a broadcast debate.
“We suspected Simon was working for the Democrats all along,” said a Republican Congressional candidate wounded in the incident. “We all wondered why he didn’t just run on the issues against that kooky Davis fella. Now it’s clear that Simon’s whole candidacy was a DNC plot.”
