Clint Eastwood may be a conservative but he's opposed to the War In Iraq.

Bo Derek and Patricia Heaton are a couple of conservative actresses who support America's war on terror. Quite an irony for Bo Derek since she is so closely associated with the movie "10", but I hear she is a conservative Christian now.

Here's a more complete listing of Hollyweird conservatives but may as well remove Arnold Governator's name and Mel Gibson is said to oppose the war in Iraq ... when he isn't drunk and making anti-semitic accusations.

Fred Dalton Thompson and Newt Gingrich are the only two potential candidates who split any atoms for me. The rest of the field on both sides leaves me yawning and indifferent. The RINO "conservatives" are insipid at best, and the liberal socialists are what my Bible refers to as "antiChrists".

There are a few good guys who work in Hollyweird, but they keep a low profile with their political beliefs. (They have to work for a living, y'know.) To name a few, there is Kurt Russell, Gary Sinese, Gary Oldman, Clint Eastwood, and Kelsey Grammer. I know there are some conservative women in Hollyweird, too, but they stay even lower under the radar.

I wonder if anyone else (besides me) was offended by HRC's implication that she equals JFK.

There has been speculation about Fred Thompson's possible presidential bid circulating for the past week or two and, today, he told Chris Wallace, "I'm giving some thought to it. Going to leave the door open."

I like it.

Thompson/Hunter in '08!?
Real Republicans

Possumtrot, it looks like there is a possibility Former Senator Fred Thompson might run for the Republican nomination. He's pro-life, pro-GWOT, pro-troop surge, opposes gay marriage, would pardon Libby ... he has all the conservative bona fides. Apparently Hollyweird hasn't affect him one whit which is quite a testimonial in itself. And he has enough name recognition that he could win. An interesting possibility.

And to illustrate my point:

"He was smart, he was dynamic, he was inspiring and he was Catholic. A lot of people back then said, 'America will never elect a Catholic as president,' but those who gathered here almost a half century ago knew better," she said. "They believed America was bigger than that and Americans would give Sen. John F. Kennedy a fair shake, and the rest, as they say, is history."

At least Abbas Araghchi is honest about his hate for Bush and America. Also none of this Orwellian "We Support the Troops" while we "slowly bleed them out of Iraq" nonsense.
